As in, the events would happen during, not after, the Olympics.
I'm not sure if it'd work logistically, but I'd love to see this.

I marked "no", and then I marked "yes", because I think I was confusing the paraolympics with the special olympics. I love that the special olympics are regional, and many many many people get to participate. I think if they were to coincide with the regular olympics too many people would be excluded. I'm not all too familiar with the paraolympics, but my "yes" answer is based on the assumption that they only happen in one place every 4 years and are designed more for people with physical disabilities than mental/social/emotional disabilities.

The Olympics are anything but equal, it's about the best. I will never ever be able to run a marathon in 2'h 20"m, my best time was a little over twice that. I will never ever beat May/Walsh let alone Ricardo/Emanuel at volleyball, that's why they are playing at the Olympics and not me.

I can't see the paraolympians having to juggle their events in-between the other events. The regular olympics are over-hyped & pushed too hard - why subject individuals who need special competition situations to this mess?

My answer would be no, for the simple reason that I've no interest in watching participants (other than Natalie du Toit) perform to a standard so far below the able bodied Olympians.
By the way, I also think this is a more respectful standpoint, as I view the competitors as athletes, and not as disabled athletes.
